Mobile Traffic Lab

To bring the Wavetronix experience directly to our customers, I helped form the strategy and design direction of two custom mobile trade show experiences. This project involved pitching the initial $100k+ investment, designing the visual skins for both the trucks and trailers, and iterating on the interior experience to create a high-impact, mobile demonstration hub.

Project overview

The objective was to move beyond traditional event spaces and take our product demonstrations directly to traffic offices and stakeholders. We needed a professional, functional environment that could showcase live software UI, traffic cabinet hardware, and sensor integration in a portable, engaging format.

Following the success of our first trailer, we used field research to drive the strategy for our second, larger iteration. During a week-long site visit to Florida, I shadowed sales representatives to observe real-world interactions with county traffic offices. This qualitative data allowed us to refine the interior layout and customer flow for our second, more advanced unit.

My role spanned from strategic planning to visual design. I designed some exterior skins for the fleet and helped architect the interior experience, including dedicated stations for software viewing, hardware demonstration, and a collaborative whiteboard area for solving live customer applications.
